Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
Effective October 31, 2026 · Version 2026-10-31
This policy covers consumer health data under Washington's My Health My Data Act and similar laws in Nevada and Connecticut, and we follow it for everyone. Cloudstackers LLC runs Helpings. Contact: support@helpings.app, or Cloudstackers LLC, 306 W Redwood St #5062, Baltimore, MD 21201. Our Privacy Policy covers everything else.
What we collect and why
| Consumer health data | Why |
|---|---|
| What you eat and drink: your entries, photos, foods and calories | To keep your diary, estimate calories and improve our estimates, including by training AI models that only Helpings uses |
| Body stats, if you have your goal calculated: sex, age, height, weight, activity level | To calculate your goal. They're deleted if you set your own goal instead |
| Your calorie goal | To show your day against it, and warn you if it's very low |
| Records of your AI estimates (time and size, not content) | To run your plan's allowance and limits |
We use it only for these purposes and to publish anonymized statistics combined across many people. We don't sell it or use it for advertising.
Where it comes from
From you, from the AI model's estimates of what you log, and from our calculation of your goal.
Who we share it with
We don't sell consumer health data, and we don't share it with third parties or affiliates. These service providers process it for us under data processing agreements:
- Cloudflare: hosting and storage, for all of it.
- Google: the AI model, for what you log for an estimate (never your name, email address, body stats or goal).
- OpenRouter: passing AI requests to Google when Vertex fails, for the same.
We may disclose it when the law requires. No third party collects data about your activity on Helpings over time or across sites, and we never use geofencing.
Consent
The app asks you to agree before it collects any of this. To withdraw consent, delete your account or email us. Until you agree again, we stop collecting and sending your data, and we keep what we have unless you ask us to delete it.
Your rights
You can confirm whether we collect your consumer health data, get a copy (Settings → Download my data, or ask us), have it deleted (in the app, or ask us), correct it, and withdraw consent. Deleting removes it from our database at once, and it can't be restored from our backups after 30 days.
Email support@helpings.app from your account's address. We answer within 45 days, free. If we turn you down, reply to appeal, and we'll answer within 45 days. If we still say no, you can complain to your attorney general: Washington, Nevada, Connecticut.
Changes
We post changes here with a new effective date and email you before an important change takes effect. If a change would use your consumer health data for a new purpose, the app asks you to agree first.
